As the Old Media collapse, improve how we inform ourselves as societies. Advance in the direction of Truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. Kick-start job creation (and economic development) through entrepreneurship<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. Privacy in the age of social networking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16. The next step for social media: social business<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18. New models for higher education: collaborative learning and content creation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following 12 areas are my updated 2020 view of where I want to dedicate my work and play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Intelligence Augmentation<\/strong> to be a better thinker based on the best human values as an alternative to creating a split\/competition between human and artificial intelligence. Support critical thinking and better decision making. Design whole system IT solutions that incorporate human factors.<\/li><li>Develop synergistic <strong>innovation solutions<\/strong> to help solve important creativity, productivity, communication, and understanding problems.<\/li><li>Develop, organize, and use personal and corporate <strong>knowledge management<\/strong> to make progress for ourselves and our organizations.<\/li><li>Create and promote ethical <strong>business models<\/strong> and governance policies that are beneficial for people and society. Provide examples, principles, and measurements to recognize beneficial business models. Make a <strong>good living<\/strong> for myself and other people while supporting human <strong>transformation<\/strong> and <strong>progress<\/strong>. Nurture ethical entrepreneurship, <strong>marketing<\/strong>, <strong>sales<\/strong>, digital identity, and branding.<\/li><li>Facilitate applied <strong>lifelong learning<\/strong> by creating <strong>my courses<\/strong> and a <strong>community<\/strong> to help people actively solve important human problems. Improve how we inform ourselves and others. Develop improvements for <strong>communication<\/strong>, education, collaborative learning, and content creation.<\/li><li>Develop <strong>project management<\/strong> and <strong>collaboration<\/strong> to establish ethical, sustainable, social networks and communities to facilitate human progress. Advocate for <strong>privacy<\/strong> in the age of social networking.\u00c2\u00a0<\/li><li>Develop and promote <strong>mental models<\/strong> and <strong>mindsets<\/strong> that are beneficial and useful for mental health and a good life.<\/li><li>Develop daily <strong>healthy habits<\/strong>; <strong>exercise<\/strong> and <strong>nutrition<\/strong> regimes to live better and longer.<\/li><li>Develop <strong>trust<\/strong> and <strong>risk management<\/strong> to create opportunities, move forward with less pain, and avoid disasters.<\/li><li>Promote <strong>tolerance<\/strong>, <strong>diversity<\/strong>, <strong>creativity, love<\/strong>, and <strong>humour<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Practice and facilitate <strong>design, planning,<\/strong> and taking action (<strong>GTD<\/strong>). Appreciate <strong>beauty<\/strong>. Enjoy and protect <strong>nature<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Advocate for a <strong>vision<\/strong> of a better <strong>future<\/strong> (e.g. through future scenarios), act as a role model, and leave a legacy.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Why 12 interest areas instead of focussing on just 1 thing? I believe that synergizing across these 12 related areas will help me become a more complete person, avoid burnout, and apply a more holistic view of possible creative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you are counting there 34 key area phrases bolded that each have their own folder, notebook, and page in my knowledge management system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Version 4.
